Fipa mask Fipa people, Tanzania 11.5 inches, painted wood Once owned by Dr. Ken Brown, a former ambassador who served in Zaire, Ivory Coast, and Ghana. Made of very heavy hardwood and coated with natural pigments. Shows signs of much use and age. Definitely has that primitive, Tanzanian look.
