14 inches, wood, straw, paper, nails

I bought this in the late 1970’s from a picker who said it was from the estate of an airline pilot who flew internationally. It could be from East Africa, Northern India, or somewhere else. The wood is fairly light and soft. The mustache is unraveled hemp rope, the beard-- perhaps an old whisk broom. Can’t figure out what is printed on the paper. The teeth are old, rusted nails.
