A:
This is a popular tourist mask from Bali. Wood carving is an old
and respected tradition there, so even the low-end pieces are
very decorative. Personally I prefer the higher quality carvings
that have not been artificially aged. One can also find Balinese
masks that were made by less-skilled carvers in rural villages.
Either will have more value than a tourist mask. |
