Nicaragua 11 inches, painted papier mache This is an authentic, used mask-- not a decorative item. Construction is of a heavy papier mache that can be used time and time again for Carnaval. It is larger and better made than the Mexican Day of the Dead skull masks that are commonly seen. The original sponge rubber padding and elastic band are still in place. Painted screen over the eye holes is characteristic of masks from this country, and rarely used anywhere else. It is large and quite impressive. $235
