Pascola mask Potam, Sonora 7 Inches (excluding hair), painted wood (cottonwood root) with cowtail brows and beard. Undanced. This mask is attributed to the carver Ruben Hernandez. Yaqui Pascola dancers do buy and use these masks in traditional fiestas, although this one is undanced. It has buck teeth, and little painted blaze marks on the cheeks, of the sort used by Yoeme carvers to indicate an “Apache” mask, although it doesn’t have the corresponding reddish face. Instead, this mask has the very traditional color palate, of red, white, and black. More on Pascola masks $175
