Bavarian Folk mask Bavaria, Germany 6 inches wide, molded fiber, felt liner, hair mustache A traditional folk mask made with layers of impregnated cloth from the early 1900’s. The inside layer is gray felt. Quite strong, built to last, and in excellent condition. In those days wearing masks for the pre-Lenten carnival was very popular in most German towns. This mask is similar to one illustrated in the book, "Masks from Around the World." SOLD
