Venetian Bird mask Venice, Italy 12 inches, painted, sparkles, firm papier mache A really gorgeous carnival mask from Venice. Signed by the artist "Barbare" as shown in the close-up of the rear. An almost identical mask is illustrated in the book, "Masks from Around the World." It is an older mask with quite a few chips in the paint, but in my opinion, they do not distract from its beauty. sold
