Guatemala 8.3 inches, painted wood This mask was collected by a person who made several trips to Guatemala in the mid-20th century. It is over 50 years old, yet it still retains the majority of its original gilded, green, red, yellow and white paint. There is no damage or wear, and the inside edge shows the moreria mark of JHR. Both the carving details and the painting are unique. I have never seen this design.
