Halloween mask and mold USA 8 inches, wood, unpainted paper mache Commercial paper mache masks for Halloween and parties, commonplace before the advent of plastic and rubber, were made from wooden molds. Typically carved out of durable hardwood, these molds could be used to form thousands of masks, which would then be painted by hand. This one comes with an unpainted paper mache mask taken from it by an artist friend of mine. Both the mold and the mask were pictured in the book, "Masks from Around the World." A wonderful piece for the serious mask collector. SOLD
