Poor Blind Woman

Unknown

11 inches, painted wood

I think of this as a poor blind woman, mostly because the pupils are blank and there are no eye holes for the dancer to look out of. Which begs the question, was it meant to be used. I have never heard of a blind woman character in a Mexican folk dance. It would make a good story for a tourist, however. Perhaps someone out there can tell us a little more.
