Devil mask Pastorela Dance, Suchitlan, Colima 21 inches wide from ear to ear, painted wood with cow horns and leather On page 84 of Mask Arts of Mexico by Lechuga and Sayer, you can see a similar mask attributed to the Colima carver, Herminio Candelario. The diablo offered here is a bit nicer, having ears, excellent horns, and a more elaborate paint job. It was collected in the 1980’s by a college professor doing research on Mexican ceramics. This is a large, impressive mask. sold
