Guerrero, Mexico 8 inches, painted wood Pescador masks are not always black. This green-eyed Nahua Indian would have had real animal fur tacked on for eyebrows and mustache. You can see the little holes. Some of the nails are still there. Both the front and back show signs of considerable wear. This photo does not do justice to the subtle colors and nice old patina.
