9.5 inches, thick leather

Unusual shape, especially the eyes, with inscribed and colored drawings on its surface. I’ve seen Mexican leather masks from a number of different locales, but nothing like this. It is normal adult size and the leather is very thick, but still pliable. Comfortable and will last forever.

Probably a Tastoan mask from around Guadalajara,Jalisco. They are typically made of leather and often decorated with reptiles or insects.  This is the opinion of a mask-collecting friend.
