Kola Nut Tray Igbo people, Nigeria 26 inches, wood Used as an offering vessel for kola nuts or chalk, it would have been placed on a Ikenga cult alter. This is an authentic and tribally used item that is probably middle twentieth century. Has a nice old patina with traces of pigments and tribal substances. Quite graceful in design, this is a special carving featuring a rarely seen animal form. Trays of this type are rare. $375
