False Face mask Iroquois people, Northeastern United States 10 inches, wood We believe this may be a very unskilled carvers attempt at a False Face Society mask. It could also be quite old, though age of a wood mask is difficult to determine. Regardless, this primitive mask has a wonderfully unique look that makes it desirable. The nose with its single nostril was probably a branch. We know the holes in the lower lip were meant to have teeth because part of one is still embedded. SOLD
