Satawan Atoll is part of the Mortlock Islands in the Caroline Islands, administratively part of Chuuk State in the Federated States of Micronesia. A Japanese airfield was located on the atoll during World War II. Generalist collectors will find it almost impossible to find examples of Micronesian masks. (Indonesian, Melanesian, and even Polynesian masks are much easier to obtain.) Over 50 years old. The original collector wrote the details on the back as you can see.
