Cloth Mask/Headdress Western China 19 inches, embroidered silk and other fabrics
One of my collector friends says this is a
Chinese100-day baby hat, supposedly worn in celebration of a
baby surviving its first 100 days, thought to be the most
dangerous period in a childs development. However, this one is
large enough for an adult to wear. I have also seen small ones.
Fits on head like a cap and extends down the back. Fabric and embroidery in very good condition, considering its age and considerable use. Amazing detail. sold
